‘Music is my aeroplane….’
I have simply adored music for as long as I can remember. It makes us happy, sad, angry, tells a story and lets us know we are not alone in whatever we are feeling or going through. For me, and so many others, it is simply my lifeblood. I’d be lost without it. I like playing the songs we know and love, and some we forgot we loved – no matter how bad! I also enjoy finding out how a song came to be – what inspired the artist to write it? What is it about? Finding out a song's backstory and message just gives it so much more meaning.
I love a huge variety of artists, spanning several decades and genres from INXS (my first music love), The Beatles, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Elvis, Tom Petty, Eric Clapton, Taylor Swift (yep, I’m a Swiftie!) The Carpenters, Linda Ronstadt, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Van Halen, Bruno Mars, Stevie Nicks, ELO, Powderfinger…...just to name a few!
Outside of music, I enjoy spending time with my family and my fur family, which is made up of two super cute and super spoiled dachshunds and one super grumpy cat, writing, watching crime documentaries, the odd cocktail (or two), travelling (or daydreaming about travelling) and am absolutely obsessed with Halloween and all things spooky.
I present my show ‘Sunday Night Mixed Bag’ once a fortnight, Sunday night 6-8pm and present ‘Soundtrack of the 80’s’ on a rotating basis.
