LAUGH  OUT  LOUD

Sundays 4-5 pm with Jean Abbott. Radio shows, wacky tracks, stand-up, parody songs, bush poetry.   Two Ronnies, Stan Freberg, Alan Sherman, Jimeoin, Dad’s Army, Hancock’s Half Hour, Bill Cosby, Rowan Atkinson, Abbott & Costello, Jack Benny etc. etc.   Anything and anybody that makes people laugh.

A well-dressed young bloke walks into a trendy wine bar in the heart of the city and orders a glass of ice-cold Chardonnay.   The barman obliges and places a small dish of mixed nuts in front of him.   As he lifts the glass to his lips, he hears a voice commenting on his appearance:  “I say, that’s a very nice suit, and such a smart tie too”.   Baffled, the young bloke looks around the bar, and establishes that he’s completely alone.   “Lovely shoes too, sir” adds the mystery voice.  “And I do like that very chic Rolex watch you’re wearing”.   Perplexed, the young man beckons the barman over and asks him if he too can hear voices.  “Oh yes, all the time, sir” says the barman.  “It’s the nuts – they’re complimentary”.
