The following are short notes from the Management Committee Meeting held on the 13 January, 2014.
Thankyou to everyone who filled in over the Christmas holiday break. All presenters are reminded to check for the Program Conveners email, which is forwarded every Sunday night, this will keep you updated on everything happening at the Station.
Our financial position is still looking strong.
December was a quiet month for fundraising but, there are more fundraising events in the pipeline, such as our Radiothon and Movie Nights. If you have any ideas for fundraising please contact our Fundraising Convener, Comrie Bucknall.
Our new presenters have begun their midnight to dawn shifts. Presentation of certificates is being organised. Thankyou to Carmel Anderson and Jenice Alliston for their assistance with Training. A new program “Mikes Bikes” has been approved for inclusion, proposed to begin in February. Outside broadcasting was discussed and approval has been given for the purchase for a second outside broadcasting unit.
An E-Waste clean up was recently held. There was some minor downtime during the month due to Sky Channel work, this has now been rectified. Clean up continues of the Studio B Computer. The updating of both panels was discussed and is to be investigated by our Technical Convener, Trent Dickeson.
We have had good sales for December, with 95% sold, a good start to the New Year ! 2 new sponsors have joined us. We discussed further marketing plans so stay tuned for further information.
The month of January is Aussie Music Month, with Love Songs the feature for February sponsored by LA Flowerland. A working Bee for Clean Up Australia day on the 2/3/2014 is being investigated, further news on this following the February Meeting.
